Here is a way that our tool bar has helped in the past! we let everyone know right away that the people that were involved in the tire slashing were captured, and this is what it looks like in the messages.

The more residents who download our tool bar the more success we have capturing a person who has committed a crime.

With the chat room alone we can have residents looking out their back door when the helicopters are above the Oaks and they can type in that the guy is behind their home and Joe can tell the Police right where they should look and we can get that individual.

It can work and it will work if residents work together. We have had this for over a year, and had only a few residents use it. we never had to use it because there were not any crimes to speak of and we do not want to bombard everyone with Alerts. So we did not Alert anyone except for our tests.

But when we did use it it worked and we got results! so please download our new high-tech way to the NEW neighborhood Watch way of keeping our neighborhood Safe...the Oaks Watch - one step ahead.

The different levels of our neighborhood Watch

As we started this Neighborhood Watch Joe made a commitment to his wife, She said "are you sure you want to do this," He Replied" Hey if I can help one person it's all worth it."

An with that he started a Website for the new Oaks Watch, in which he got the logo of "The Eye" used by the Nations neighborhood watch as their symbol. He just made it a little different for the Oaks Watch Website, Then we started an e-mail service to let residence know about what is going on in our neighborhood,

Now not only could you keep up with the news we could have e-mails to let everyone know what's going on with the Sheriff's Department and the Kissimmee Police, Because the Oaks is Split between the City and the County.

Then we got Tee Shirts and Golf Shirts to help us provide funds for our website.

The website was a little different, because we used different links for different tips and questions.

We then put in Camera's at the entrance and exit of the Oaks one way in and one way out.

The City of Kissimmee was impressed with the idea and contributed with a matching grant.

We had some private residents donate some money toward the camera's then more heard about it and it turned into an entire neighborhood project.

Next was a News Letter. We found Focus that doesn't charge for the newsletter they just want our input and advertisements pay for their news letters. Normally they only let HOA's have their product, but since we didn't have an organized HOA we pleaded with them and they said it was ok.

So now we have residence who help our neighborhood deliver the news letters every month. They come and get the news letters at their leisure and take a walk through their area and deliver the news letters which have safety tips and news from the neighborhood.

Toolbar

Then to top it all off we added a tool bar that residence can add to their computer. This tool bar also acts as a search engine. And it pops up if there is action in the Oaks.

The purpose of the tool bar is to contact residents in case of a major problem in the Oaks. As a resident is on their computer the Oaks Watch will send out a warning that something is happening in our neighborhood, or be on the look out for this person, to help local officials.

A little bubble will pop up next to their clock stating this. They can click on it and the information will tell them what is going on.

It is only used in case of emergencies.  Or a test run two times a year.

But we actually are part of the tool bars website.

We even had channel 6 call us to tell us they are keeping an eye on us because other neighborhood Watches are looking at us and getting ideas....What a great thing to find out.

I hope they all succeed!!! wow!

If they want to contact us feel free were easy to get along with!!

There is so much more that we have and can do for our neighbors, but we just want to contribute anything we can to help our other neighborhood watches anywhere...

Give us some idea's!!

Thanks
