On Monday June 17th at around 3:00 or so, a School Bus side swiped a van parked in the 2200 block of the Oaks Blvd.
A neighbor saw everything that happen. The School Bus sideswiped the Van and scrapped the entire side of the van, and did not stop. The neighbor jumped into her Car and flagged down the driver of the school bus around the Guard Shack.
The Neighbor told the driver that she hit a Van of her neighbor and should return to the scene. By then the Kissimmee Police were called and were on the scene with in 5 minutes.
The driver was ticketed.
The next day neighbors saw the same driver driving the School Bus, thinking that the driver should not be driving, they called us at the Oaks Watch. We called the School Bus Risk Management at (407) 807-4600 and were told it was an in house matter and no information will be told to the public. We told them we are trying to find out this information for the residents who have children on that bus and are residents of the Oaks, she was on the rude side and repeated the words "it is an in house bla bla bla....
So if you had children on the bus that is the phone number to call, or you can call the School District at; 407-870-4600, and they will connect to the person or office you wish to speak to.
Here at the Oaks Watch we would like to help as always, so if you have children who were on the Bus we would like to know if they felt the impact or if the Driver knew about the hit. etc...
Thank You
