Upcoming Meetings

The only way the meeting will last longer is if we have questions from residents and we run overtime, and the interest of the meeting is there.

Otherwise we can talk about it after the meeting when a large group will gather and talk.

Residents who are not interested to ask questions may leave at that time.

After the meeting the host usually has refreshments, and sodas coffee, etc. After the meeting this is a meet and greet or a hello amongst friends.

Please respect the meeting.

#1 Please turn off your cell phone.

Before we start we ask you to please turn off your cell phone so it does not go off during the meeting. You may put it on silent ring - vibrate.

  2. Do no talk unless called upon, we will not stop you from interaction, but please do not talk amongst one another while the meeting is going on. Others are trying to listen.

Sorry but we will NOT talk about Home owners items at all. If you don't know if it is a home owners item, you can ask and we will help you contact the right source. Sometimes it can be as easy as contacting the code enforcement.

We will first start off like a normal meeting , reading the minutes of the last meeting.

New business will be discussed. Joe will mention different things that was going on around the Oaks and what the Oaks watch did.

Residents will be asked to respond and if they have any questions

Usually the Watch will  get a Speaker to let the Oaks residents know more about laws or what to do about this or that.

We usually gage what ever the phone calls or e-mails coming in are and we try and get a speaker for that particular reason.

For example: We had a lot of calls about a sex offender moving into our neighborhood, So we called the Sheriffs Department and got their number one Sex offender guy to talk at our meeting. A lot of people were there, but not one person who had complained about the sex offender. All we wanted to do was to answer any questions that the residents may have. It was a great meeting (but the Deputy talked to much) lol

Please don't come here mad or with a chip on your shoulder, because it will not get you anywhere.

We speak in a easy manner and also expect you to also speak in that manner, if you have a problem it will be solved, you don't have to come all pouty and aggravated.  We have had a few in the past and they left happy campers.....
